The Education of Johnny: the Making of a Man, newly opened at Tarragon Extra Space, is a curious theatrical hybrid.
fantasy well told, superbly acted.
It opens with a fanciful premise that fgives way to a series of highly naturalistic scenes, occassionally augmented by song. And the effect, while uneven, is seldom less than engrossing.
If is in any way the harbinger of the new theatre season, we can look ahead with high expectations
